In the 1000-Lb Sisters season 3 finale, Tammy Slaton’s brother disclosed that she was taken to the hospital as she couldn’t breathe one day after entering a food addiction rehab. Tammy was placed on a ventilator and put into a medically induced coma.
Following Tammy’s condition, she underwent a tracheotomy to facilitate a breathing tube inserted into her throat. After spending three weeks in the hospital to recover, she was able to resume her rehabilitation program. In February 2022, Tammy took to TikTok to share that she was at the food addiction rehab facility after her medical emergency and planned to stay at the Ohio rehab facility until the summer.
